If someone had told me about this remix before I heard it, I wouldn’t have listened. Remix? A Simon and Garfunkel song? THE SOUND OF SILENCE? No way. And yet… way. It has a great ebb and flow that doesn’t swallow the original song. Just give it a go:
Just another feel-good jam that makes me SO ready for summer. There are few good remixes of French Horn Rebellion‘s “Girls” but this one is definitely my favorite.
This one is more of a sample than a remix, but let’s not lose a good thing over parsed words. Chris Malinchak smoothly mixes Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s “If This World Were Mine” into a house beat that somehow comes out, in my opinion, as something even more soulful than the original. The newly released music video is a simple, innocent story with a well-placed awesome animal. Listen and see:
